Dunns Bus Service, the Kadina business has been in operation for over 50 years, they purchased it in 1976. For many years a major part of the business was school buses and organised coach tours to all parts of Australia. In the late 80's and early 90's part of the business was operating a general freight service to Birdsville in Outback QLD. As a result of that experience it was decided to concentrate on outback SA, QLD, NSW & NT organised coach package tours.
This has now become a large part of the business travelling in air-conditioned comfort experiencing the privations and beauty of the outback and meeting the characters of the Australian Bush.
Peter & Shirley Dunn of the parent company Dunns Bus Service in Kadina, decided in 1998 to expand their already successful School Bus & Charter & Tour Coach company to incorporate the entire travel market and purchase Dependable Travel Service.
Maxine, Peter & Shirley's daughter has now decided to operate Dependable Travel from her home. She feels she is more able to service her clients in the ever changing business world. Maxine has formed a merger with Cambridge Travel to further enhance her packages and services. Maxine has also begun studying for another University degree.

Peter Dunn - Partner
Manager, mechanic, heavy vehicle driving instructor, School bus & Long distance Coach driver, Outback Heavy vehicle freight operator.
Peter has had over 40 years experience in heavy vehicle driving, tour organising and business management. Peter has had many years experience in the Australian Outback.
Peter Dunn has also been very active in the Bus & Coach Association (SA), having been a board member for more than 30 years, president for 8 years, and SA Councillor on the National Bus Industry Confederation for around 12 years. Peter currently sits on other commitments and government committees within the industry.
Shirley Dunn - Partner
Manager, trained nursing sister, fleet controller, domicillary care supervisor, Bus & Coach driver.
Shirley has had a career in Nursing and Domiciliary care administration. She is the business partner with the responsibility for overseeing quality and cleanliness control. The coach does not go out without her approving eye. Her nursing experience has been invaluable when on Outback tours with elderly clients.
Adelaide Staff
Maxine - Daughter of Peter & Shirley
Bachelor Degree in Science (Adelaide University), Certificate in Business Management, Travel Consultant, Business Finance Controller, State women's rugby player.
Maxine is responsible for the domestic and coach tour side of our business, she also oversees the financial management of the business. She entered the travel industry 15 years ago whilst still studying at university for her science degree. Maxine has also begun studying for another University degree.

Graham Nourse- Fleet & Bus & Coach technician
Graham is in charge of our fleet and bus & coach maintenance and is also our diesel mechanic. Graham has in excess of 25 year history in mechanics. His professional approach ensures our fleet runs in tip top order. Safety is very much part of Graham's approach to our fleet maintenance and operation.
John Robinson - Bus Driver John is a skilled school bus, tour and coach driver. John drives many of our coach, midi bus and mini bus charters. He is especially good with children and elderly citizens. John is the person responsible for all cleaning and minor maintenance of all our fleet. He is very fastidious about the fleet presentation.
Bruce Woodcock - Bus Driver Bruce has been with our business since July 2000.
He has experienced, first hand, our Outback Tours and drives our School Buses and Coach Tours also. Bruce has also begun studying for a University degree.
Prior to moving over to South Australia, Bruce worked in the transport industry for 10 years as a Fleet Manager and Logistics Co-ordinator with a large Transport Company taking the fleet numbers from 25 to 220 before leaving. Bruce is heavily involved in Sporting and Community groups and understands the requirements of these groups when it comes to Travel and tours.
Edith Wilson - Office Administrator Fleet record data processor, pay clerk, credit & account controller.
Edith is responsible for office management at the Bus & Coach depot. She is most meticulous about accuracy and ensures that accounts are paid, money received and all charter and tour enquiries are handled correctly. Our clients are her first and foremost concern.
